• Where is Land App based?

  We have offices in Bristol and London. Our approach to work is a hybrid one, we value being together and connecting in person and also appreciate how working from home enriches our lives and supports focused deep work.
  
  Our approach aims to be flexible enough for us to live our lives, whilst maintaining a routine to connect in person, often.
  
  Currently this looks like:
  

  - Go-to-Market team connecting weekly in Bristol

  - Product & Engineering team connecting weekly in London

  - Operations team, connect 2-3 times per month between Bristol & London

  - Full team meet ups quarterly, with optional co-working time monthly and chance to socialise together. 

  - Bi-annual Company off sites: 2-3 days away: to connect as a team, volunteer together and reflect on our progress.

  We want people to live full, enriching lives whilst working at Land App. Whilst the above is our ideal aim, if things crop up ad hoc we're flexible and lead with trust, so people can do their best work.

• Why work at Land App?

  Land App is a mission-led company, aiming to contribute toward solving the biggest crises of our generation: the unprecedented decline in global biodiversity and its impact on the climate.
  

  To do this, we take a systems approach, focussing on how we can help unlock nature recovery at speed and scale. 

  Land App enables land managers, farmers, food retailers, water companies government to create a “digital twin” of their land, understand and analyse its current state in nature and collaboratively design solutions to create ecological and financial resilience. 

  Green finance and natural capital markets must be underpinned by accurate mapping, insightful land use analysis and robust data, all whilst linking land managers on the ground to the critical funding they need to transition to sustainable land use.

  Land App does precisely this, and our people are passionate about creating real change and contributing to this much-needed systems change.

• What stage is the product at?

  At present, Land App has 22,000+ users, with over 9,000,000 hectares of land mapped out using the software. It currently serves the needs of UK based land managers, and is used widely for government scheme applications, such as Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive, as well as bigger projects such as Landscape Recovery.

  We now have a mobile app, as well as sophisticated analysis dashboards which enable users to unlock natural capital funding. These include a Biodiversity Net Gain Toolkit, Portfolio for understanding the landscape-scale, Nutrient Neutrality and a Habitat Connectivity scorer. As the demands of land managers and natural capital markets grow, we are developing the product to match it.
